John D. Clark is a graduate of Presbyterian College and the University of South Carolina School of Law. John distinguished himself in law school by winning the J. Woodrow Lewis Appellate Advocacy Award and also completed summer studies through the Tulane University Study Abroad Program at the prestigious Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge University, Cambridge England. Upon graduation from law school, John had the unique experience of serving as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Ernest A. Finney, Jr. at the Supreme Court of South Carolina.
For more than twenty years, John has concentrated his practice on Personal Injury, Automobile Accidents, Workers’ Compensation and Criminal Defense. He has earned a reputation among his peers as a skilled trial attorney and has received the highest possible rating of AV Preeminent in law and ethics by Martindale Hubbard. He was also selected for induction to the invitation only American Board of Trial Advocates and serves on the National Board. He is a member of American Association for Justice, South Carolina Association for Justice, and South Carolina Injured Workers’ Advocates.
John is married to Sharon Baker Clark, his law partner at Clark Law Firm, LLC, they have three children.
Sharon Baker Clark graduated from the University of South Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Law. She began her career as an Assistant Solicitor in the Third Judicial Circuit Solicitor’s Office where she prosecuted criminal offenders in the General Sessions Court. Sharon also spent several years serving as a part-time Public Defender for Sumter County. She has been in private practice since 1996 working in the family, criminal, probate and civil courts of South Carolina. Currently, Sharon concentrates in the areas of automobile accidents and personal injury.
She is a member of the American Association for Justice, National Bar Association, and South Carolina Advocates for Justice. She is active in the community and serves on the Historic Preservation and Design Committee, The Caroline Mack Center for the Arts Board and Community Development Housing Board.
Sharon is married to John D. Clark, her law partner and they have three children.

Josephine Nelson Harriott returned to Sumter after a successful legal career in Washington DC. She previously recently led the compliance team at Howard University Hospital, initially Health Sciences Compliance Officer, then for Adventist Healthcare as part of their Managed Services Agreement with Howard University Hospital. She also served Howard as Senior Associate General Counsel for Health Sciences, where her practice included health law, regulatory compliance, business transactions and governance.
Prior to joining Howard University, Josephine was a Senior Associate at Miller & Chevalier Chartered, working primarily on matters related to employee benefits, civil litigation and internal investigations, and implementation of the Affordable Care Act. She is a graduate of Howard University School of Law where she interned for the Honorable Emmet G. Sullivan U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and the District of Columbia.
Josephine and her husband Leroy Harriott have deep roots in the Sumter community. They have three sons.
